Cameras, Cakes, and Coffee ~ My Life is Complete

Friday Fragments is hosted by Mrs.4444's

Friday Fragments, commonly referred to as FF, is a great place
to put ideas, thoughts, and short writes.
They are normally easy to read and short in length...
which is nice for busy people like me!

Last week I was unable to participate in the Friday Fragments episode
due to a little "minor" delay... my blog was deleted.
The story on this incident is a post entirely it's own.
We are all about fragments here... NOT novels!
The post explaining how this accident happened is found here...
I called it "Poop Happens"! Make sure it doesn't happen to you!

As you can see, I am up and running again,
but still a little sad that I lost those recorded memories.

I finally got my new camera that I've been going on and on about the last few months.
See, good things do come to those who wait!

I have been enjoying this gift more than any gift I think I have ever received!
Mr. Takamine loves me!

As you can see, I decided to go with Canon for personal preference!
Not at all what I expected I would choose,
(having my mind made up on a Nikon, which by the way, I still want of those too),
but after playing around with my options and getting some professional advice,
it's the one I decided I liked best!
The truth is, the camera has little to do with the art of photography.
But good gear does help, no doubt!
I can't wait to see what I can do with this.
I live to learn new things.

I am presently reading a few awesome books.
They are only awesome, of course, if you have interest in these topics.
If you have ever doubted your abilities, or if you have family members
who have doubted your abilities to home school your children,
this is an awesome resource for you!
Even if you don't have these challenges, Terrie Lynn Bittner offers
a very nonsensical, down to earth, encouraging book in
Homeschooling~ Take a deep Breath You Can Do This.
I believe anyone can benefit from  this one!

This pic was taken with my new cam.
Still don't know how to use the editing software,
so this one hasn't been altered in any way.
Would love to learn how to "watermark" my photos.

Pretty Flowers!

Shot with the new cam.

Another one of my birthday presents!
Flowers... I prefer color. Lots of them!
I thought the shades were all quite lovely.
I feel so loved and blessed;
 "Yay Me!"
Talk about random!;
Who is the famous Disney star that says this? "YAY ME!"
Bonus points for getting the name of the show and the charachters name correct!
(I have to admit I am little embarrassed that I even know the answer to this...
But I can't resist a quiz question!)

What a week!
Tomorrow we exchange gifts with our bridge friends :)
Who incidentally gave me this great looking cake last week... tasted pretty good too!

Camera, Cake, and Coffee! My life is complete :)

Here is to wishing everyone a Grrreat Friday and a Wonderful Weekend!
Stop by Friday Fragments for some more great reads from fragmented minds.

Photo Fun

We all know social networks are the new way to get information
and updates about the must knows of life!
Which includes but is not limited to the easy process of pasting your face
or favorite photo into a far out scene you only wish were tangible.
Well, I found this pretty cool website, through a friend of mine on facebook, that offers a wide variety ways to play around with photos and to just have a little photo fun.

All you do is pick a scene and upload a photo (or 3)!
The pictures below seem to, sort of suggest that I am in love with myself...
I do in fact love myself (mostly but with some reservations), but am not IN love with myself.
It just so happens that these few pics I used have a very quick upload time
and were the fastest of all my options.

I'm easily entertained... what can I say?

What a cool idea, huh?

Choose whatever picture you like and let the fun begin!

After you've done this, publish a post on it and share the link below...
I can't wait to see what great ideas you come with!

Poop Happens!

Last Friday morning as I was writing my FF entry, my husband kissed me goodbye happily and went off to work for the day. Shortly after he left, I completed my FF and clicked onto the "publish post" icon, when suddenly my screen says "This blog is no longer in existence."
"WHAT?" I was completely caught off guard.
I spent quite some time attempting to contact Google and find out how this could have possibly happened. Later that afternoon (at lunch) around 11:30 or so
Mr. Takamine (my husband) comes home and says,
"I have been fighting all morning with YouTube over my password".
I said,
"Well you will never believe what happened to me!
My blog just disappeared.
Poof! Gone!
Can you believe Google, the biggest powerhouse in the world, would allow such a crazy thing?".
 He says,
"Your Blog???... Google???... Gone???... Oops!!!".

Yup! He totally deleted our Google account.
Evidently google is trying to link up everything to one location.
So a few weeks ago, while listening to music on YouTube, (because apparently that's what he does at work), he clicked on something that would automatically link him from Google to YouTube. Now, I had noticed for the last two weeks that I had to change my password nearly every time I logged into my blog but I just thought it was a glitch in the system or something. I don't know, I just simply wanted to type!
So anyway, the two of us were changing our password every time we logged into either
YouTube or Blogger. (Pretty much on a daily basis.)
Between his music and my need to ramble we were not getting anywhere!

Lesson: Communication is Key.
If you share a google account connection with a mate,
 for heavens sakee communicate everything!

So, needless to say I was unable to get my blog re-instated and so
I started a new one, out of pure desperation to write!
I was unable to keep my original URL but I am leaving everything pretty much the same.
Back to zero followers... not that I had many to begin with,
but I had developed some great relationships and I wanted to keep those open.
A special thanks to Mrs. 4444's at Half Past Kissin' Time for being there for me
when the only way I could post anywhere was by signing "Anonymous".
Thanks :)

The newest Disney princess movie release, Tangled
was showing at our local IMAX Theater tonight.
We took the girls. It was so awesome! BIG thumbs up!
As I watched the movie on the big screen I was amazed
by the quality and definition that movies have now. Particularly with animated films.
The popcorn was great and the cherry coke was perfect.
All five of us got in for 25 dollars... I am still confused on how that happened,
but very pleased none the less!

Tangled brilliantly retells the wonderful story of Rapunzel.
If you haven't seen it yet, you will be sure to fall in love with ALL of the characters.
Everything was perfect. But the best part of it all was being together as a family.
We have taken the children to only one other showing in the theater.
(Our girls are 2, 3, and 5 years old, so we are only recently
feeling comfortable taking them with us.)
The girls do surprisingly well. Very attentive, quiet, and excited.
The first show we saw together was the movie "Despicable Me".

That was a great movie as well!
If you get a chance (and have a little extra money on hand), get out of the house
(it's far too cold to go outside and play)
and get to the theater and see this wonderfully delightful film featuring the awesome voices of
Mandy Moore (as Rapunzel) and Zachary Levi (as Flynn Rider).
