Something Old, Something New, Something Borrowed, Something Blue

I was lying on a blanket in the park one day where I could see the children playing happily.
Of course I had nothing but a packed lunch and my camera.

(I feel naked without my camera.
There is always something I really want to capture, and I want to be prepared!)

Now on this particular day, I pulled my keys out of my pocket
and placed them on the blanket with out a thought or a second look.
I began to snap shots of all my surroundings without actually getting off of the blanket.
Getting rather bored with the sights of empty soccer fields,
I noticed the keys right there in front of me
and began to think about the key chain that was on them.
I snapped this shot.

Now, I haven't changed my key chain in...
hmm, let me think... over 10 years now!
I know that sounds weird and crazy, but keys are just
something I need, and carry without thought,
Just sort of take them for granted.
...I get a new key I add it the ring....
The wooden key chain was a gift from an old friend from years ago.

It has my first name on it, and I began to ponder what my name represented.
It reminded me.
Am I living up to my name... Am I always gentle?
Well, I can assure you, I am not... But I needed the reminder.
I should pay attention to my keys a little more often.
