I remember my blissful, fleeting senior year of high school.
It was the year 1995.
I had been waiting for this event to arrive for the last 12 years.
I was ready... or so I "thought I was ready" to be an adult.
To be out on my own.
To be a responsible college student, on my way to the rest of my life.
It was an exciting time.
those days of eating cafeteria lunches,
all the memories from yearbook signings,
losing and forgetting locker combinations,
and rushing through the halls trying to catch the next class before the bell rings...
Those days were joyfully about to come to an end.
At the time... There was no greater joy.
