Felt Turkeys And Being Thankful

We had some fun on Thanksgiving this year.
There is nothing like being with family during the holidays.
Good food and good times.

In my post named November Fun I talked a little bit about my love for The Hobby Lobby.
And the love affair continues.

I picked up these sweet little projects for our Thanksgiving craft
on the last day of school before our Thanksgiving break.

Felt turkey hand puppets and "I Am Thankful For"... cards and craft.
I always find the neatest little things at Hobby Lobby.

Here the children are sewing the two pieces of the felt that make the head of the turkey.

The children had so much fun doing the turkey puppet craft,
and we got some interesting results as the kids
started placing the felt faces together in random and interesting order.

Meet "The Masked Turkey Superhero". At least that's what she called him.

The next to the last line says, "Baby Carson". This is our newest addition to the family. My nephew.

Line four says "Pascal", that is our family pet. He is a Beta. Such a handsome fellow.

The sewing and stitching got a little tricky, but the children did a great job.
Even my little 3 year old figured it out.

I'm so proud!

I am thankful for Jesus, my entire wonderful family, all the things that help make life comfortable, such as a roof over our heads, food on the table, hot coffee in the mornings, a family van that is paid for, healthy and happy children, and especially for freedom and for all those who have and are fighting for that freedom.
This list could go on and on, but I will stop here instead,
and tell you that I have never, ever felt so blessed, so loved or so thankful as I do this very day.

Today I will enjoy all the things in my life that make me happy, and be thankful to the uttermost.
