Shake A Strangers Hand

Do you ever think about the people you know, and how it is your paths crossed?
Have you ever really thought about it?...

In this day and time, with social media on the rise and so many ways of instant communication,
it's easy to meet new people and begin to develop new relationships.

But how about those paths with whom you may have crossed years ago,
and really never thought to how or why, perhaps thinking nothing of it...

One day you were just going about your business, doing your thing,
never knowing that the person with whom you were interacting,
would once again cross your path in the future.

Ruth and I met years ago when my firstborn daughter was only a few weeks old.
It was a single occurrence, one the both of us could scarcely remember.
(I'm still trying to figure out how seven years have slipped by since then.)

We never spoke again until five years later, when our paths would cross again...
And this time, we both had children..
girls...
about the same age.

Talk about being at the right place at the right time!

I am so glad that God has intertwined our lives and that we have become friends.

Everyday now, I look forward to shaking hands with strangers and smiling at new faces...
because you never know, that person could someday become a friend.

Ben and I really enjoyed this family shoot...
What a great family...
We are completely honored to have had the opportunity
 to capture these beautiful moments!
